Wilmar Sugar Australia is seeking a Diesel Fitter to join our dynamic team at Plane Creek Mill in Sarina.
If you're passionate about maintaining machinery and contributing to a sustainable industry, we want to hear from you!Your Role in ActionIn this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our locomotive fleet and mobile plant.
Safety is our top priority, and your skills will help ensure smooth and efficient operations, keeping our equipment running at peak performance.
Your position level will be tailored to your qualifications and skillset, giving you the opportunity to continue growing and expanding your expertise.Keep the Mobile fleet in tip-top condition: Conduct regular servicing and maintenance of diesel-powered trucks, tractors, and other heavy equipment.Keep Our Locomotive Assets Running: Participate in preventative maintenance programs, troubleshooting equipment breakdowns, and assisting with fault reporting and repairs to ensure optimal operations.Empower the Next Generation: Provide guidance and leadership to apprentices and trainees, defining tasks and performance targets while offering valuable on-the-job training and feedback.Collaborate for Success: Liaise with the Work Coordinator on costs, scheduling expenditures, and assisting in assessing the economic life and performance of assets to drive continuous improvement.Document with Precision: Ensure all work orders and permits are accurately completed while maintaining timesheets and standard reports for seamless operations.Uphold Quality and Teamwork: Work within a collaborative environment, conducting inspections, identifying problems, and implementing improvements to ensure the highest quality standards.Your Winning CombinationOur ideal candidate will hold a Trade Qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Fitter and/or Light Vehicle Mechanic along with a current Confined Space Entry, Working Safely at Heights, and a manual driver's license.
