Mungalalu North Kimberley Airport is the leading remote, all-weather airport in Australia. Based on the Anjo Peninsular in the far north Kimberley of Western Australia, MNKA provides airfield services to the oil and gas industry, local industry, Defence and other Government agencies. To support operations, MNKA has a fully equipped, 120 room camp complete with kitchen and dining facilities, gym, pool and recreational facilities. MNKA staff are typically based in either Perth or Darwin, where regular weekly flights fly direct to the airport. Staff are housed in permanent ensuited rooms, with all meals supplied and wifi available throughout the camp.
This is a unique opportunity to support the overall function of the airport, camp and its supporting services. Ensuring that all mechanical equipment used to support the airport and camp is fully maintained, serviceable and effective, allowing continuous, uninterrupted airport operations. Tasks include the maintenance of airport generators, light vehicles, refuelling vehicles and equipment, earth moving plant and equipment, trucks and general plant and equipment.
This is a FIFO role offered on an 8/6 roster.
The Role Preventative maintenance of all plant and equipment, including regular servicing.Rectification and troubleshooting of breakdowns of airport plant and equipment.Stock taking and ordering of spares and parts for both preventative and reactive maintenance activities.Other general maintenance tasks as directed by the Airport Manager.The Candidate Diesel/Mechanical Fitter qualifications.Excellent diagnosis and troubleshooting skills and a keen attention to detail.Motivated, hard-working and willing to get on with the job.Ability to work in a hot and demanding environment.Strong commitment to safety in the workplace.The Rewards Site and travel allowances.8/6 roster.How do your skills match this job?Sign in and update your profile to get insights.
