Tanami, Alice Springs & Central Australia NT Mining - Engineering & Maintenance (Mining, Resources & Energy)Full timeAs a Diesel Fitter at Newmont Australia', you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a range of heavy mobile equipment at our Tanami Operations located in the NT.
This is a full-time position that is crucial in supporting the efficient operations of our mining operation.What you'll be doingCarry out planned and unplanned maintenance on a variety of modern mining equipment including CAT UG trucks, loaders (R2900G & R2900XE) & IT's, Sandvik Drills, Normet Agi's and charge vehicles + ancillary equipmentDiagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on equipmentConduct inspections and maintain accurate records and documentationEnsure work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and proceduresCollaborate with the wider maintenance team to optimise equipment performance and availabilityWhat we're looking for!Formal Australian trade qualifications as a Diesel Fitter or equivalentProduct knowledge of CAT heavy mobile mining equipment within underground hard rock mining equipment will be considered an asset.Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve equipment issuesHighly desired certifications include Working at Heights, Dogging, EWP, and Forklift.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with a commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk managementWhat we offer!At Newmont Australia', we are committed to supporting the career growth and wellbeing of our employees.
