We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Diesel Fitter to join our Newmont, Tanami Site Support team on a 12 month fixed-term FIFO position (likely to be extended) , working on a new growing fleet of underground machines that include; CAT AD63's, R2900G and state of the art R2900XE LHD's and variety of ancillary equipment.
This is a 7:7 alternating FIFO position, flying out of either Brisbane, Darwin, or Alice Springs.
As a Site Support Diesel Fitter, your responsibilities will include:
Warranty repair & maintenance of CAT & Elphinstone machinery in a safe, efficient & professional manner.
Diagnostic troubleshooting assessments of reported faults
Quality condition/failure reporting
Complete warranty processes and reporting
Assist customer in maximizing machine production and efficiency.
Provide customer support and demonstrate product knowledge.

About You: You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
Trade Qualification – Certificate III Engineering (Diesel Fitting) is essential
Previous experience on CAT machinery & CAT diagnostic systems will be desirable
Strong computer skills
Well-developed communication and customer service skills
The ability to work within a team and unsupervised
