Our Role We are looking for a Diesel Fitter to join our hardworking team at our Calliope site close to Rockhampton.
Reporting to the Site Superintendent, you will be trade qualified and have good mechanical aptitude, with a willingness for ongoing training.
You will be part of a small team of maintenance tradespeople with good levels of autonomy and varied work including repair and breakdown, preventative maintenance, fabrication and some mobile plant assistance.
Ordinarily this will be a day shift Monday to Friday role; however, you will be required to work on some Saturdays and be available to attend unplanned breakdowns, whereby overtime will be accrued.
The successful applicant will have:
A relevant trade qualification A current manual driver's license Experience with crushing and screening, milling equipment as well as sound welding and fabrication skills (highly regarded but not essential) A positive attitude towards and commitment to Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental requirements and legislation Previous success in working as part of a team Future training in various aspects of either Operations or Quality is available for the right candidate.
