Die Setter - Injection Moulding TechnicianAbout the rolePlastec Australia, a leading manufacturer of high-quality plastic plumbing products, is seeking a skilled and experienced Die Setter - Injection Moulding Technician to join our team in Caloundra, on the Sunshine Coast. This full-time role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our high-tech injection moulding machines, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.
What you'll be doing Setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting injection moulding machines to ensure optimal performance and product quality (from 200-5500T)Problem solving machine settings and conducting preventive maintenancePerforming quality checks on finished products and implementing necessary adjustments to the moulding processCollaborating with the production team, other die-setters and technicians to identify and resolve any issues and maintain production outputMaintaining detailed records of machine settings, production data, and any maintenance or repair activitiesProviding training and guidance to less experienced operators, fostering a culture of continuous improvementWhat we're looking for An experienced Injection Moulding Technician or Die Setter, with a strong understanding of injection moulding processes and equipmentProficient in setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting injection moulding machines, as well as conducting preventive maintenanceMechanical aptitude with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipmentExtensive knowledge with a wide range of plastic materials (particularly PVC) would be an advantageExperience in the safe operation of overhead cranesExcellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standardsEffective communication skills to collaborate with the production teamRelevant technical qualifications or certifications in injection moulding or a related field will be highly regardedWhat we offerAt Plastec Australia, we are committed to providing a supportive work environment for our employees.
