ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Review job/order specifications to determine all specifications (quantity, material, style, special requirements, etc) needed to make ready and run the job at hand. This review comes directly from the job jacket.Check for appropriate approvals (size/style) and alert Quality Assurance if approvals are not in place.Make ready and run the die cutting press maintaining acceptable quantity and quality levels.Detect and correct in-process quality issues; mark loads containing questionable quality issues in accordance with work instructions. Ensure that all printing sort and redstain are run and kept on separate pallets and marked appropriately for finishing.Report raw material usage, including waste, and production time accurately in the ASI reporting system.Complete inspection/checks/review of work in process on every load produced. Communicate any issues to management.Communicate job status to management; make suggestions/requests for current and future needs.Perform all other duties as assigned.Position Requires: Ability to move among equipment in the Die Cutting Department and to maneuver the catwalks that surround the die cutting equipment.Ability to use a pallet jack to move pallets of paperboard to/from the staging locations.Ability to lean, lay, stoop, kneel, and stand in and on the press to allow for make ready and maintenance.Ability to carry cutting dies and to lift paperboard stacks (may exceed 35 lbs.).Close vision is required for the inspection of work in process.Equal Opportunity Employer
