The Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance was formed on July 1, 2003 as a partnership between Listowel Memorial Hospital and Wingham and District Hospital.
We share a common management structure with one CEO.

The Alliance Board consists of both hospital boards combined.

The Listowel Memorial Hospital has been providing acute care and complex continuing care services to the residents of North Perth and the hospital's catchment area since 1919.
Our fully accredited hospital offers a wide range of primary and secondary services including 24-hour emergency services.
In-patient and out-patient care, specialist clinics and supportive diagnostic services.
The Hospital has an active staff of 10 Family Practitioners as well as several consultant staff.

The Wingham and District Hospital is a modern, progressive acute care facility providing medical, surgical, obstetrical, paediatric, chronic and rehabilitation bed and other services, including 24-hour emergency coverage.
Hospital services include:

Position: Diagnostic Imaging (Radiology) Clerk

Description: The Radiology Clerk assists on a daily basis with maintaining the appropriate level of department flow.
This is a casual position that is anticipated to begin on August 7, 2024.
The successful candidate will be available Monday to Friday 0745-1545.

Responsibilities: Scheduling appointments for patients based on Physician requisitions and department requirements.Book emergency ultrasound bookingsAnswering incoming phone lines Radiology; transfer when neededRegistering, reviewing patient encounter in Cerner and screeningpatients for procedures using LWHA hospital identification requirementsMaintain adequate records of files of work performedClearly articulate orders from physicians and reporting proceduresPocket health submissionsRetrieving and receiving information for and from other centresEnsuring that Release of Information forms are properly documented and taken to Medical Records for filingReceiving fax requisitions, reviewing to ensure completeness, filing requisitions and maintaining the files appropriately.Communication with the inpatient and emergency departments regarding appointments, transportation and preparations. High School Diploma or equivalentMedical Terminology Certificate0 – 3 months recent related experience in a similar setting preferredModerate physical effortModerate degree of mental effort and analysis Salary: $24.47-$26.02 per hour
