Sunrise is an independent community controlled health service that provides comprehensive primary health care services to nine remote health centres and to the 4000 people living in the Katherine East region. Health centres are located at Barunga, Manyallaluk, Wugularr, Bulman, Mataranka, Jilkminggan, Minyerri, Ngukurr and Urapunga.

Provide a visiting service to all Sunrise clinics and communities providing individual and group services to diabetic patients and their families. Provide high quality and individualised diabetes management/care for patients and their families suffering from, or at risk of diabetes and associated conditions. May be required to travel to SHSAC communities on a scheduled weekly basis. Collaborate with all health centre and specialist staff to ensure appropriate planning and implementation of care for clients receiving support for their diabetes and associated conditions. The role is part of the Integrated Health team, including Dietitian, Optometrist, and remote clinical staff. Is this the right role for you? Relevant qualifications as a Diabetes Educator Registered with AHPRA Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and communities – previous experience working within remote or regional groups. Current Driver's License, WWCC, National Police Check, First Aid Certificate NT PHN/RWA NT may be able to offer relocation support and clinical educational financial assistance to health professionals who are relocating to the NT or moving within the NT to a greater remoteness area classification for the purposes of employment and further clinical education.
