The DFV Counsellor will be responsible for providing counseling and support services to individuals and families affected by domestic and family violence.
The role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, facilitating support groups, and collaborating with community partners to ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients.QualificationsExperience in domestic and family violence counselingKnowledge of trauma-informed care and interventionsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively with diverse populationsUnderstanding of legal and ethical issues related to domestic violenceRelevant qualifications in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related fieldFamiliarity with community resources and support services
