The Darwin Aboriginal and Islander Women's Shelter (DAIWS) is a NGO dedicated to the support of Aboriginal women and their children at risk of homelessness as a result of domestic, family and sexual violence. DAIWS operates a women's shelter for crisis accommodation, transitional units for longer term accommodation and support, and outreach and counselling services for current and former clients.DAIWS operates from an evidence-base using traditional Aboriginal healing and Western cognitive behavioral therapy approaches.The WorkThe DFSV Remote Case Worker position provides case management support to assist women and children at risk or experiencing domestic, family and sexual violence.
