$112,868 - $126,961 + 15.4% Super Canberra, Woden location S26 transfer, Permanent or Temp or Non – Ongoing Start Date: Either 12 December 2024 or January 2025 About the roleThe Procurement and Compliance Officer is a subject matter expert and works under limited direction.
This position is responsible for managing and/or providing detailed and accurate technical advice on procurement policy, procurement processes, and contract management.
The successful applicant should have strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills as well as some understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Framework.
The EL1 Procurement and Compliance Officer undertakes procurement activities for this agency and ensures compliance with all legislative and Government practices and guidelines relating to procurement.
Duties
Review and draft procurement documents (spending proposals, RFQs, contracts, Value for money).
Develop/maintain procurement reference materials.
Handle procurement reporting.
Drive continuous improvement efforts for team support.
Manage records in SAP Finance and Document Management.
Enhance performance through risk management.
Set clear expectations and foster goal achievements.
About you
Demonstrated ability to manage procurement and contract management processes with the commonwealth alongside knowledge of procurement rules, policies, and records management.
Proficient use of the MS Suite (in particular Microsoft Excel), SAP, P2P, and AusTender will be highly regarded.
Knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
Demonstrates the ability to prioritise deadlines individually or in a cohesive team to meet organisational objectives.
Demonstrates strong verbal, written, judgement, analytical, organisational, and negotiation skills.
