The current mine site locations are in the Northeastern Goldfields of WA, with multiple mining operations both open pit and underground. The Opportunity Reporting to the Dewatering Supervisor, this FIFO role will be working on an 8:6 roster.
Conduct routine inspections and carry out servicing, maintenance, repairs and re-fuelling of dewatering infrastructure including CAT & Perkins diesel engines on pumps and generators; Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and inventory levels; Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests on equipment to identify and resolve malfunctions or performance issues; Assist with general dewatering duties such pump installations and removals, maintenance of pipelines and valves and poly welding or other tasks as required in accordance with safety and operational standards. (Onsite training can be provided) Operation of equipment, such as excavators and telehandlers, to facilitate dewatering activities and mining operations; Monitor water levels and flow rates to ensure effective dewatering and prevent flooding or groundwater ingress; Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks associated with dewatering operations and equipment maintenance. About You Mechanical Aptitude : Nationally recognised Heavy/Light Vehicle Mechanic preferred or relevant trade certificate such as Mechanical Fitter with relevant industry experience. (Proficiency in understanding and working with mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, valves, and piping configurations.) Troubleshooting : Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with dewatering equipment quickly and effectively. Maintenance and Repair : Skill in performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts, to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment. Technical Knowledge : Understanding of hydraulic principles, electrical systems, and instrumentation relevant to dewatering operations. Safety Consciousness : Commitment to following safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, and injuries. HR manual driver's license and relevant machine operator tickets preferred but can be provided for the successful candidate. Why Regis Resources?
