We are looking for a DevOpsTeam Lead who wants to make their mark on leading high performance across a team and how we manage large deployments that handle upwards of 100,000 requests per second (scaling from thousands to tens of thousands of containers!). This role is a key enabler in helping us achieve this vision.You'll find yourself deploying new services on Kubernetes, empowering developers to diagnose issues by improving monitoring, and automating the odd manual process to reduce the friction experienced across our engineering teams.Kasada is a remote-first company, this role can be fully remote, based anywhere in Australia although we do have offices in Sydney and Melbourne if you prefer something more hybrid! What You'll be doing Leading one of the key teams at Kasada who own our Cloud Infrastructure and consult with other teams on best practicesAutomating all the thingsOptimizing the infrastructure of our market leading bot mitigation productWorking in our awesome infra team, and promoting and driving a strong devops culture across our engineering teamsIdentify and propose automation improvements in our workflowsImproving our CI/CD pipelines with automation and infrastructure as codeDefining best practices and guidelines for services and systems from CI/CD through deployment in productionWhat you'll bringExperience leading Infrastructure focused teamsExperience operating Kubernetes clusters (preferably Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service)Knowledge of AWS - especially networking, IAM and security groups.Infrastructure as code - at least one of Pulumi, Terraform, CDK or CloudFormation.Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and GrafanaSolid network troubleshooting skillsExcellent written and verbal communicationPragmatic and considered approachThis is not intended to be a laundry list, we do not expect you to be an expert in everything, but we do expect you to be passionate about learning new technologies you are less familiar with I know something not on this list!Maybe you've spent a bunch of time with an application that has really high performance needs, or figuring out how to optimize an application to cut costs, or building the golden path so developers can get their application up and running (safely!).
