What we are looking for
Talented junior to mid-level DevOps / Software Engineers who desire to apply their skills to Defence projects in areas such as Electronic Warfare, Future Military Cloud Native Systems, Machine Learning, Command, Control, Communications, Computing & Intelligence (C4I) and Cyber Security. What you will do Development and deployment of prototype Defence systems and capabilities using a wide variety of cloud-native technologies using Docker and Kubernetes. Work within a team to consult with Defence clients to analyse and identify their requirements, and then plan the development and delivery of the required functionality. Work with a wide variety of state-of-the-art technologies and practices - E.g. Microservices, DevSecOps, Kafka/MQTT, Containers (Docker), Kubernetes, Web UIs (Angular/React). Learn and adopt existing Automation practices into the development (e.g. Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD) environment to more effectively develop, test and deliver software. Contribute to the the technical quality of the team through code reviews, design reviews and collaborative development. Continue to develop your technical ability through both on-the-job training and professional development opportunities. Location Swordfish is headquartered in the Adelaide CBD with our teams operating from both Adelaide and Edinburgh.
