Our Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) team is one of the Hunter region's largest IT teams, housing specialists in Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Networks, and high-performance Research Computing. The role You will have the opportunity to work with modern technology stacks, as part of a team transforming the way data is captured, stored and promoted within the University. Your key responsibilities/projects/work areas include: Develop, deploy, and manage infrastructure, software, and CI/CD pipelines for product build, testing, and release. Assist in designing, managing, and monitoring systems on Azure and AWS platforms. Analyse and resolve incidents affecting critical business services. Implement security measures to protect systems and ensure compliance with university policies. Collaborate with stakeholders to uphold high deployment standards and foster continuous improvement. About you Degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent education and relevant experience. Strong technical skills in data engineering, including experience with notebooks, pipelines, Py Spark, and Python. Experience with Data Factory or Synapse is preferred. Solid understanding of Agile Scrum practices, including breaking down deliverables and committing to sprint goals. Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to influence both team members and stakeholders. A passion for collaboration and working in a dynamic environment. A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on achieving operational excellence. Please note: This role requires current valid work rights for Australia.
