About the Role Design, implement and automate continuous integration and delivery services for digital products and services via the ABC's web, mobile and streaming media platforms that align with ABC strategy and objectives.
Key Accountabilities Under broad direction, provide significant support to Digital Product teams by designing and implementing very complex delivery systems for the ABC's digital services on web, mobile and streaming media platforms.
Contribute significantly to the process of automating all aspects of the ABC's digital platforms, including cloud infrastructure, testing and code deployment, using highly advanced automation skills.
Continually improve system reliability and quality by integrating monitoring, reporting and fault handling into application platforms.
Provide specialist advice and proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency by automating existing processes.
Develop and maintain technical standards and support documentation.
In collaboration with Agile teams, participate in planning and review meetings and contribute significantly to the management of projects to ensure project deliverables are completed within agreed timeframes.
Maintain a highly advanced technical knowledge of Digital Engineering's systems and services and share this information with the team and wider business.
About You Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent significant skills, knowledge and experience.
Current knowledge of and a keen interest in the Internet and media industries.
Demonstrated extensive experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) products and automated code integration and deployment systems such as Bamboo or Jenkins.
Extensive experience with Linux and open-source web software stacks (LAMP or equivalent); and excellent proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g.
Python/Ruby/Perl/BASH).
Extensive experience with automated configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef or Ansible.
Extensive experience with using common third-party DevOps tools such as Datadog, New Relic, PagerDuty, JIRA and Confluence.
Extensive experience supporting and managing products delivered by CDN services such as Akamai or CloudFront.
Highly advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate, analyse and solve very complex technical problems.
Highly advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and work effectively in a team environment.
Previous experience working with Agile project management practices is desirable.
