Devops Engineer

My Client is a leading product and solutions business that is looking for a strong DevOps Engineer to join the team and assist in the design and delivery of projects and provide support for Linux systems and vitalisation infrastructure. The DevOps Engineer will work closely on new and exciting projects. The role is permanent, is offering a great salary package and is based in North Sydney. My client is looking for someone who has hands on experience of Linux infrastructure as well as a general understanding of networking, vitalisation and cloud.

Your Main Responsibilities: Collaborate with the team to design and manage an automated vitalisation platform.Drive continuous improvement through agile methodologies and automation.Integrate standalone installer build process into existing Jenkins and Bitbucket build pipelinesProvide technical support for applications and systems, taking ownership of issues.Address incidents, faults, and challenges escalated from the operations center.Identify root causes and devise long-term solutions.Contribute to process enhancement and environmental improvements.Your Key Skills: Linux, Ubuntu: Proficiency in Linux, particularly Ubuntu, for effective server management and configuration.VMwareESXi: Expertise in VMwareESXi, the vitalisation platform, to efficiently create and manage virtual machines.Continuous Development and Improvement (CI/CD)Docker (+Docker Compose): Profound knowledge of Docker and Docker Compose for containerisation, enabling seamless packaging of applications and their dependencies.Desireable is Kubernetes: Familiarity with Kubernetes, the orchestration platform, to automate the deployment, scaling, and management of containerised applications.Ansible: Strong proficiency in Ansible, the automation tool of choice, for system configuration, task automation, and ensuring infrastructure consistency.Experience working with Bare-metal servers.Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.

Salary: AUD150,000 - AUD165,000 per annum + base plus super & benefits
