The primary purpose of the DevOps Engineer is to maintain the DevOps processes and tools that enable Lifeblood to deliver high-quality National software solutions and services faster and more reliably.
The role collaborates with developers, testers, IT operations, and security teams to automate and streamline the software development life cycle, from code to deployment to monitoring.
The DevOps Engineer also participates in the continuous improvement of the DevOps culture and practices at Lifeblood.
Responsibilities
The DevOps Engineer will provide capabilities for several National Lifeblood solutions provided for Federal and State based health agencies that have significant change and development programs both underway and planned.

Here's what we are looking for: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience.Significant and progressing experience in DevOps, with hands-on skills in scripting, automation, configuration management, cloud computing, containerization, monitoring and testing tools.Experience working with Federal Government health agencies.Proficient in using DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, and Octopus Deploy.Experience with technologies including Angular, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, LESS, .Net Core, EF Core, SQL Server, Dynatrace and Confluence.Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, best practices and standards.Experience with ITIL 4 management practices.Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate and communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to deliver results and work to deadlines.This is a permanent full-time opportunity with a hybrid working environment based out of our Processing Centre in Melbourne, however we are open to candidates from other locations within Australia.
