About the role As a Dev Ops Engineer, you will be reporting to the AI Infrastructure Team Lead.
The role is dedicated to developing and refining the physical and cloud-based infrastructure supporting Drone Shield's AI and Data Engineering Teams.
The role will address critical challenges including high-volume data processing, auto healing and scaling cloud-based pipelines, enabling MLOps projects, generating automated model training pathways, and integrating different machine learning services.
Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations Generate processes and build functions around the successful, continuous deployment of Drone Sentry-C2 (drone detection platform) and in-field sensor network.
Work with the rest of the software and wider technology team to develop solutions and provide insights into complex problems involving distributed systems, data engineering, security, and system resilience.
Work effectively to find solutions for both on-prem (air-gapped) and cloud-based systems.
Exhibit a high work ethic and the desire to take ownership over tasks/problems that may fall outside of your immediate job description/team.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working with common programming and scripting languages; Python and bash preferred.
Integration and deployment pipelines with Gitlab, Code Build/Deploy.
Experienced with Docker, Docker Compose and/or Kubernetes.
Experienced with AWS and Ia C.
Experienced with building custom machine images.
Experienced with Linux Operating systems; comfortable working with the Terminal, Text Manipulation Tools, Process Monitoring, Networks, System Performance, Bash Scripting.
Strong understanding of Networking and Security, working with webservers.
Demonstrable concise syntax with an appropriate, but not excessive level of documentation.
Solid understanding of physical infrastructure and deployment.
