THE POSITION We are currently seeking a talented and experienced DevOps engineer that can also handle database administration duties. The successful candidate will elevate our team, level up our processes and improving the performance of our infrastructure.
Experience with python, Django framework and PostgreSQL Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines Ensure integrity of data through monitoring and auditing Improve performance of software through optimised database queries Review code, test cases, flow charts and documentation Ability to investigate bug reports and provide solutions Enthusiastic to work in a team and help other developers This role may also include software development activities such as adding new functionality, auditing business logic scripts and expanding on test cases. We host our software on Microsoft Azure.
THE PERFECT PROFILE You have strong interpersonal and communication abilities, excellent time management and organisation skills and demonstrated the ability to mentor junior engineers. You will have demonstrated experience with software development, software deployment pipelines and database development with a security first mindset through a combination of work experience and tertiary level education.
With previous experience in a similar role, you have shown leadership in software quality and delivering code that is maintainable. You understand the concept behind relational databases and can explain data relationships from a database schema.
Your energetic nature succeeds in a Team environment, where you do whatever it takes to get the job done, and no job is too little or too great. As a true professional in your field, you possess high attention to detail, maintain a high standard of accuracy and precision whilst also having good analytical skills for solution design.
