Our Banking Client is looking for a DevOps, Cloud & Kafka Specialist for a 6-12 month contract. This is a Hybrid role for the right candidate and the likely start date is mid to late January 2025.
Please note to apply, applicants must have the following: The requisite skill and experience defined below,Hold at least Australian Permanent Residency status, andAt least 3+ years' relevant local working experience.Role Background: The successful candidate will be working as part of the Messaging and Integration team, implementing and supporting the integration infrastructure. As well as production support, the candidate will be performing installations, configuration and modifications of the Integration Infrastructure, addressing software currency and vulnerability management, and playing a key role in various projects to help identify and implement the best possible Integration solution.
Day to day activities will see the successful candidate assisting the team supporting and developing the Client's Integration platforms, which include:
AWS: Amazon Web ServicesEKS: AWS Elastic Kubernetes ServiceKafka: Confluent Cloud KafkaGitLab: Git repositories and GitLab DevOps platform.They also support legacy technologies and their transition to their strategic platforms, including:
MQ: IBM MQWAS: WebSphere Application Server.Their infrastructure spans the cloud in AWS and GCP tenancies as well as RedHat Linux and Windows Server infrastructure.
Key Competencies & experience for the role: At least 7 years experience in an IT technical role.Experience in configuring and customizing GitLab pipelines using Terraform or similar technology to configure and maintain Cloud infrastructure.Experience deploying solutions using DevOps pipelines and infrastructure as code.Highly motivated with a strong proactive attitude.Ability to design complex integration solutions.Exposure to production support and change management.Good knowledge of the Windows and Linux Operating systems.Good knowledge of AWS and DevOps pipelines, GitLab. Using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and deploying solutions to Cloud environments.Kubernetes experience, including Helm Charts.An excellent knowledge of technologies including Web Servers, Application Servers, Firewalls, and LDAP Directory Servers.Understanding of Internet communication protocols such as HTTP, SSL, and TCP/IP and certificate management.Excellent written and verbal skills.Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with other teams.Good understanding of project management and Agile principles.Knowledge and hands-on experience in IBM's WebSphere Application Server and MQ is highly desirable, but not essential.Notes: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.Start date is likely to be mid January 2025.Must have working rights for Australia.Attractive daily rate on offer but will very much depend on skills and experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
