Reporting directly to the Technology Delivery Director for Core Banking, the DevOps and Environment Delivery lead for Core Banking Modernisation is a critical hands-on, multi-skilled senior leadership role.
We're seeking a highly skilled Delivery lead to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of our Environments and CI/CD Pipelines related functions within Core Banking. The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing application support teams, DevOps support teams, and interacting with multiple stakeholders across various tribes and groups. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of our CI/CD pipeline, leveraging Azure Kubernetes, OnePipeline, Azure Board, and Azure Cloud.
Your expertise in the Financial/Banking sector will be essential in understanding the unique requirements and regulations of this industry. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the assigned project development streams and squads, which is critical in shaping the future of banking for ING Australia and facilitating the delivery of complex change under ING Australia's largest transformation program.
Additionally, this role will liaise with a wide range of global stakeholders to help accelerate strategic outcomes while ensuring executional certainty and adherence to transformation methodologies and framework.
What you'll do … Manage end-to-end project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.Oversee the implementation of CI/CD pipelines using Azure Kubernetes, OnePipeline, Azure Board, and Azure Cloud.Support the Program with effective delivery of stream scope, within schedule, budget, and deliverable quality, assisting with workforce planning, procurement requirements, stakeholder management, and dependency and risks/issues mapping.Provide regular updates on the status of the program to the Release Lead / PMO lead for ING Board Committees, Executive team, and Global stakeholders.Participate and represent Core Banking in regular strategic planning processes under Transformation & Delivery, including QBR and annual prioritisation processes.Build and maintain an energised, high-performance culture within the team.Facilitate in-flight stream reviews, making recommendations for actions, and capturing and sharing learning in appropriate forums as well as following up on implementation improvements.What we're looking for… Experience in the technical delivery of large-scale banking transformation programs.5+ years PMO experience, with a demonstrated understanding of associated key disciplines (i.e. project management, project planning, resource and workforce planning, strategic planning, dependency mapping, action planning, compliance & risk management, data collection and analysis). Finance or Tech background preferred.Experience in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix organization.Demonstrated experience utilizing both agile and waterfall methodologies to successfully deliver projects.Proven experience with Azure Kubernetes, OnePipeline, Azure Board, and Azure Cloud.Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Experience managing application support and DevOps support teams.Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders, including technical and non-technical teams.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Experience with Agile project management methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).What's in it for you?
