We are seeking a Technical Officer to work full-time and provide technical services to the Infrastructure Department, with particular focus on public buildings and parks project delivery, contract administration, development and maintenance of systems for operational activities and updating asset management information.This is an exciting time to be joining the team.

Read the page, How to Apply for further details.Statements addressing Essential Selection Criteria:Demonstrated knowledge, skill and experience in project and contract delivery, preferably in a Municipal environment 3-5 yearsBroad experience in construction methods associated with civil/building constructionDemonstrated ability to liaise with a diverse range of customers, staff and Local Government personnelWell-developed written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer serviceDemonstrated time-management skills, including the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and provide progress reports on projectsHigh level of conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient in the use of Microsoft Programs and other relevant computer programsStatements addressing desirable Selection Criteria:Working knowledge of Local GovernmentExperience with Estimating experience in related fieldsExperience in asset management practicesExperience in design software (CAD)Current White Card (Work Safely in the Construction Industry) required to enter a civil construction siteCouncil appoints staff based on merit.
