We are seeking dynamic and motivated individuals to join our Strategy, Planning and Innovation team, located at Perth Children's Hospital.
About the role The Strategy, Planning and Innovation Team has two Development Officer positions, each with distinct portfolios, roles and responsibilities.
Strategic Initiatives This portfolio leads the development of strategic initiatives to support CAHS to meet its key strategic direction and deliver on its objectives in alignment with WA Health reform directions and evidence-based practice. An example of current work includes the development of a whole-of-government First 1000 Days Framework. Successful candidates will support project management of strategic initiatives as well as developing and maintaining effective working relationships. Candidates will undertake literature reviews to identify relevant trends, issues and best-practice to inform strategies. Clinical Planning This portfolio leads the development of organisation-wide clinical service strategy, planning and service development initiatives for CAHS. An example of current work includes the development of a CAHS Clinical Service Plan. Successful candidates will support project management of clinical service planning to ensure projects remain within scope, meet timelines and objectives, and identify potential risks. Candidates will undertake needs analysis to identify relevant trends to inform clinical planning. About our Team: The Clinical Services Strategy, Planning, and Innovation department leads strategic clinical service planning across the CAHS, with a focus on enhancing service capabilities while driving innovation and reform.
In collaboration with stakeholders and partners across WA Health, we develop, implement, and continuously review internal and external processes for large-scale clinical service projects, ensuring alignment with community needs and State Government priorities.
Our department also plays a key role in policy development, performance monitoring, and coordinating input on contemporary models of care, all aimed at improving health outcomes for children and young people in Western Australia, in line with the strategic objectives of CAHS and WA Health.
About CAHS: The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is proud to be the leading service provider for pediatric healthcare in Western Australia, as the State's only dedicated health service for infants, children and young people. CAHS comprises four service areas: Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Perth Children's Hospital (PCH).
