Development Manager Renewable Energy

We are seeking an experienced Development Manager to drive utility-scale renewable energy projects from concept to financial close.
Lead the development of solar, wind, battery storage (BESS), and hybrid projects across Australia, managing approvals, stakeholders, and commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership: Oversee all stages from origination to construction, including environmental impact assessments and financial inputs.
Approvals & Compliance: Secure planning, environmental, and connection approvals across multiple jurisdictions.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with landowners, councils, government bodies, and communities to maintain social license.
Business Development: Identify new opportunities, manage acquisitions, and provide insights on market trends and technologies.
Team Collaboration: Work with internal teams (engineering, legal, procurement) and mentor junior staff to achieve project success.
Procurement & Contracts: Manage tenders and negotiate key contracts (EPC, O&M) to meet timelines and budgets.
What Youll Bring: 5+ years experience in renewable energy or infrastructure project development.
Proven expertise in project management, stakeholder engagement, and approvals.
Strong understanding of energy markets, regulations, and emerging technologies.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (engineering, environmental science, urban planning) are ideal.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
