About Us:Durack Civil is a leading civil construction and land development company specialising in innovative and sustainable infrastructure projects across Queensland and New South Wales. With a growing portfolio of land development projects, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Development Manager to join our team and play a key role in the acquisition, planning, and successful delivery of large-scale residential and commercial developments.Position Overview:As a Development Manager, you will oversee the full life cycle of land development projects, from acquisition to construction and final delivery. This is a hands-on role that involves working closely with internal teams, external consultants, and key stakeholders to ensure each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.Key Responsibilities:Land Acquisition: Identify and evaluate potential development sites in Queensland and New South Wales. Conduct market analysis and negotiate acquisitions to secure high-value opportunities.Feasibility Studies: Lead detailed feasibility assessments, including financial modeling, zoning, environmental reviews, and planning approvals to determine project viability.Development Management: Oversee the entire development process, from concept to completion, ensuring project milestones are achieved, and risks are managed.Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with local councils, government authorities, consultants, contractors, and community stakeholders to navigate approval processes and secure necessary permits.Construction Management: Collaborate with construction teams to ensure projects meet design, quality, and time requirements. Monitor progress and provide solutions for any issues that arise.Budget & Cost Control: Manage project budgets, oversee cost reporting, and ensure financial goals are met. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.Procurement & Contracts: Manage tender processes and negotiate contracts with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure best value for the company.Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all projects comply with local regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
