The Development Environment Manager Engineer tasks and responsibilities include the following:
Gather sizing requirements from customers in order to provide scaled Cloud or On-prem environments Analyse change requests for upscaling environments Analyse bug reports in JIRA, and resolve either in collaboration with Dev team or by correcting environment Test environments during testing phases as part of the delivery project Update environments based on new releases of the software Update infrastructure scripts accordingly (Terraform + Ansible) Maintain infrastructure scripts (Terraform + Ansible) Manage versioning of the scripts in Bitbucket Document scripts in Bitbucket Share documentation of scripts with customer during handover sessions Support the Sales and Pre Sales teams during proposals on sizing questions and all technical questions regarding infrastructure Provide cost estimates (mostly on cloud environments) during proposals to evaluate TCV (total contract value) Provide design solutions and proof of concepts and full proposal including cost of projects Manage platforms, implementation and development Spearhead training of the team and manage showroom Update infrastructure and deployment scripts (Terraform + Ansible) in order to support latest releases and improve performance of deployments on different projects Coordinate actions to support sales and presales activities The job will be permanent, full time, with hours to be worked between 9.00 am and 5.30 pm Monday to Friday.
Successful applicants must have:
Minimum of 2 years' experience with the Linux operating system. (Ideally some form of a Linux Administration Certification) Minimum experience of 2 years for developing and deploying server-side applications (Java/Groovy, Javascript/Node js) Minimum Experience of 2 years for developing and deploying web technologies (Javascript/React.js) Understanding of protocols/technologies like HTTP, SSL, SQL, HTML, XML, JSON Understanding application clustering/load balancing concepts and technologies Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Rackspace (RKS) or Microsoft Azure (Azure) technologies, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Minimum Experience of 1 year for automating deployments using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Docker Minimum Experience of 1 year for evaluating third-party software integrations like API, MOS, file exchanges Minimum Experience of 1 year for versioning tools for maintaining program code and associated documentation like Git and Bitbucket Minimum Experience of 1 year for monitoring tools like Grafana, ELK, Prometheus Experience in participating as an exhibitor and demonstrator in media industry technology exhibitions such as Broadcast Asia, InterBee, and ABE Australia. Highly motivated in customer support services and client satisfaction Experience in troubleshooting/debugging complex technical issues Excellent written and oral communication skills in English Good written and oral communication skills in French Must be able to articulate technical solutions to all audiences Ability to work independently and as a team player Minimum of 5 years' experience with Media Asset Management System Understanding of video Formats and Codecs If you are interested in this job, please submit an application.
