As a Development Engineer in our multi-award-winning organisation, you will support the Coordinator Building Surveyor in providing a complete service in relation to development assessment, specifically with respect to the engineering aspects of development.
Key Accountabilities: Providing professional advice, support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders with respect to the engineering aspects of development.Assessing, evaluating and recommending on engineering aspects of development having regard to all relevant requirements.Assessing, determining and issuing development-related applications including construction certificates and compliance certificates under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.Assisting Council to perform the functions of a Principal Certifying Authority with respect to subdivision work.About You: To be successful in this role, you will possess tertiary qualifications in civil/environmental engineering or similar discipline, or demonstrated experience at an appropriate level to competently carry out the duties of the position.
You will also possess demonstrated experience in engineering/technical development functions of a Local Government or private consultancy including the assessment and supervision of engineering aspects of land development; experience in the assessment of development-related applications including development applications, construction certificates, subdivision certificates and water supply/sewerage/stormwater drainage work; demonstrated knowledge and application of engineering design and construction techniques associated with development including stormwater, on-site detentions, bioretentions, road, transport and environmental practice.
