Join our team as a Development and Capability Executive at The Star Brisbane.
The Star Brisbane is Australia's newest entertainment hub at the heart of the new Queen's Wharf Brisbane precinct. The first phase is now open, with more venues and experiences on the way. The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre. This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.
The Development & Capability Executive, reporting to the Development & Capability Manager, will support the leadership team in planning, implementing and delivering gaming operations training requirements. While ensuring a high level of capabilities, with a focus on statutory requirements, guest service and team engagement, you will work across varied areas within gaming operations.
This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver thrilling and memorable guest experiences in a safe and secure environment.
A few of your responsibilities Prepare training materials and facilitate training sessions with the gaming operations team Regularly promote compliance with all Star Entertainment Group policies and procedures Ensure all relevant statutory, regulatory, industry standards are met Build strong network and stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally Provide leadership and act as a mentor for gaming operations team members What are we looking for Knowledge of gaming operations Previous experience coordinating and leading large teams Demonstrated passion for exceptional guest service Prior Learning and Development experience Ability to confidently communicate with stakeholders of all levels in both written and verbal communication About you The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in L&D and will be passionate about providing memorable guest experiences. Thriving on building strong relationships, you will be confident in your written and verbal communication. Your proficiency using Microsoft Office and flexible availability will see you preparing training materials and facilitating training sessions. You will also have great time management and confidence coordinating and leading teams.
