Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for supporting the development of commercial and technical solutions during the pre-contract phase of Australia's highest-profile Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) and other innovative business development opportunities.
Located in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney the role will include: Support business development opportunities (e.g.
market research, competition analysis, new sectors feasibility assessment), including client engagement through market interactive processes, industry briefings and unsolicited proposalsPrepare and manage bid budgets and program (including engagement and management of advisors)Involvement and support to bid team workstreams as required (technical, insurance, commercial, financial)Assist with the development of commercial and technical solutions for project finance proposals such as PPPs or similar tenders (EOI and RFP)Management of client interactions (e.g.
data rooms and formal communications)Management of project and business development interactions with senior leaders across CIMIC Group organisationsSupport bid approval process and internal governance (e.g.
equity briefing papers, consortium steering committee papers)Active and measurable participation in business development and innovationOur minimum requirements for this role are: Bachelor degree in engineering, construction management, quantity surveying or similar qualification related to the development of the built environment.
Qualifications in economics, business or finance are beneficial but not essential3+ years post-graduate experience in a similar level role supporting major infrastructure procurement processes for PPPs, D&C or long-term service contractsExperience in project origination and advisory will also be considered favourablyProject management acumen – strong organisation, planning and decision-making skillsPeople management and stakeholder management skillsExcellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word & PowerPoint, Project, Teams and Sharepoint)Past experience with project documentation and data room platforms (e.g.
