ABOUT US The Museum of Australian Democracy (MoAD) at Old Parliament House is located inside a heritage-listedbuilding that was once home to Australia's Parliament (1927 to 1988).True to our building's original brief, we provide a 'people's place', where big ideas are explored. We share the story of Australia's democracy through exhibitions, events and education programs, as well as through our rich online collection of stories, objects and resources. MoAD – APS5 Development & Events Coordinator Careers at MoAD are varied, from exhibition curators, heritage officers and learning facilitators, through to digital producers, finance officers and IT specialists. MoAD employees are engaged under the Australian Public Service Act 1999 and are subject to the terms and conditions of employment in the OPH Enterprise Agreement 2024-27 POSITION DETAILS The Development and Events Officer will play a key role in providing support across the Development teamand be responsible for delivering a range of high-quality events for the organisation, including public events.MoAD delivers and hosts a variety of regular and bespoke events/programs to share the history of OldParliament House with audiences and inspire them to learn about and engage in our democracy.The role is responsible for managing and corresponding with guests in relation to events. These large-andsmall-scale events will include but are not limited to fundraising and partnership events, ticketed lectures andspeaker series as well as online events such as seminars. Suitable candidates may be placed in a merit pool from this selection process and the pool may be used tofill similar ongoing or non-ongoing roles. DUTIES Under the direction of the Head of Partnerships and Development and the Development Manager, the EventsCoordinator will be expected to: • Work across the Development team and in association with the Marketing and Retail team to provide support for donors and partners. • Work with internal teams to plan, deliver and manage a range of events for MoAD and, under direc tion, liaise with a range of external stakeholders including partners, and event suppliers. • Deliver a range of events from end-to-end planning (including administration and co-ordination) to operation, logistics and delivery. • Undertake a range of administrative tasks including the preparation of run sheets, budgets, floor plans, performance and production schedules, risk assessments, invoicing, and emergency plans. • Manage invitation and RSVP lists and deal with guest queries in a professional manner. • Work across the organisation to promote events and develop invitations as well as supporting collat eral.
