ADD VALUE - THE ROLE
The Development and Environmental Services Assistant provides key support to the Development and Environmental Services Team through the provision of front-line customer service, administrative support, research and analysis of statutory information and ad-hoc reporting, along with the maintenance and management of corporate systems.
As the Development and Environmental Services Assistant, you would be required to have high level written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders to effectively liaise with internal/external customers in a professional and customer focused manner. The role requires a demonstrated ability to work both independently and, in a team, fostering an environment based on teamwork, respect and mutual cooperation.
For this role you will be required to have a Certificate IV in Business Administration, or equivalent qualification, complemented by demonstrated experience in a fast pace administrative environment, and contemporary knowledge of administration functions.
Demonstrated experience in a development, certification or property industry, and/or the ability to interpret legislation and policy for application in Local Government would be advantageous in this role however not essential.
This position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis working 35 hours per week.
Remuneration package for this position is based on Grade 8 of Council's Salary System Protocol which equates to a base salary of $68,133 - $76,641 per annum.
