Brickworks QLD is seeking a customer focused Despatch Coordinator to join our team in Cairns. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination of deliveries within the Cairns and surrounding areas.
This role also requires you to assist in managing inventory, Customer Service enquiries and other responsibilities as required.
Duties include but are not limited to: Coordinate the daily despatch of orders, including scheduling and document processing, based on weight limits and daily time allowances.Administer all despatch operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.Provide quality service by assisting with service requests, order management, and job scheduling.Maintain detailed and current knowledge of the company's products and services, offering professional advice to customers.Lead by example in environmental, quality, and safety matters, coordinating drivers' daily activities and adhering to relevant laws.Assess driver competency, ensure accurate order fulfilment, and liaise with team members for effective communication.Communicate effectively with all internal and external customers, including the general public.Commit to the highest standards of administrative and operational excellence.Ensure thorough understanding and commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements.Success Requirements: Previous experience in warehousing, transportation, or other related industry.Strong time management, administration and organisational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities and customer service skills.Experience using an ERP such as JDE or SAP desired.Computer literate (Word and Excel).Excellent attention to detail.Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.Ability to complete multiple tasks with varying levels of priority.Proven team player and willing to support various areas of the business when required.How to Apply You will need to be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident to apply.
