Job Description:   Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT Helpdesk team in Australia.
This hands-on role requires a tech-savvy professional with strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, and a client-focused approach.
Please note that this role requires daily presence in the client office; there is no remote or work-from-home option available.
Travel may be required between Head Office location and other supported locations.
Key Responsibilities:   Provide hands-on, on-site technical assistance for desktop and laptop hardware, software applications, and peripherals, ensuring minimal downtime for end users.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including operating system errors, network connectivity problems, and application malfunctions, using effective problem-solving techniques.
Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including workstations, printers, AV/Meeting room equipment and mobile devices, following company standards and security protocols.
Assist in managing IT inventory, including tracking equipment and ensuring that supplies are readily available for replacements and repairs.
Work closely with other IT team members to identify trends in support requests and propose improvements to processes and systems.
Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating clearly and effectively with users, understanding their needs, and providing timely updates on the status of their requests.
Support Office 365, Active Directory, and VPNs.
Maintain accurate records of support tickets, including detailed documentation of issues, resolutions, and escalation processes, ensuring knowledge sharing within the team.
Job Qualifications (Must Have Skills)   Demonstrated experience with: Windows & Mac OS, M365, ServiceNow, Active Directory, Azure MFA Mobiles/Tablets – Android/Apple Intune/SCCM Standard and Multi-function print devices Workstation Networks Configuration Knowledge of networking concepts and components Voice Communication Video Conferencing across various platforms Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
