Through these, we built trusted processes and systems to establish ourselves as a reputable insurance builder and restorations specialist Australia-wide.About the RoleWorking in our Perth Office in a national capacity, the Desktop Estimator is responsible for reviewing assessment reports and scopes of work provided by both internal stakeholders and external clients, ensuring accurate quotes and estimates are submitted within their set KPIs.Additionally, the role will involve completing scope validations requested by our clients and video assessments during times of CAT events when required.Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:Complete accurate desktop estimates using scopes provided by our clients.Monitor and review the quality of internal assessment reports and the accuracy of scopes, providing detailed feedback when required during our peer review process.Review and action the validated scope costs from our clients.Utilise our desktop assessment tool (Virtual Assistant) to assess property damage during CAT events, providing timely and accurate building assessment reports and quotes for residential insurance claims.Work with AJ Grant Building Supply Chain to monitor and keep up to date with changes in markets, including trade rates and material costs.Provide repair and technical advice on claims and/or repair processes to all stakeholders.Build and maintain key sub-contractor relationships, including building surveyor, engineers, and local authorities to assist with the technical aspects of your role.Collaborate with the insurance company's assessors to ensure alignment of scopes of work and estimates.Obtain quotes and competitive prices from suppliers and contractors and maintain set budgets.Collaborate with other team members, including field assessors, to gather information and insights that can enhance the accuracy of scopes of work and quotes.Establish a quality control process to review and verify the accuracy of reports, scopes of work, quotes, and estimates before submission.Regularly analyse the win-loss ratio of submitted quotes and estimates to improve your success rate.Maintain your own administration works and updated communications to all stakeholders within business KPI's.Analyse data related to timelines and approval rates to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.Continuously evaluate and improve the efficiency of the estimation process by identifying bottlenecks and proposing solutions.About YouOutstanding business and time management abilities.Highly motivated and able to achieve good results.Ability to problem solve issues within residential buildings.Intermediate skills in Word and Excel.Trade or tertiary education in restoration preferred.Insurance industry experience would be advantageous.Relevant qualifications/licenses preferred – IICRC Accreditation (or equivalent).Must be able to work in an environment that has suffered fire, water, and wind damage.Must be able to respond to service calls after-hours and domestic travel may be required.Requires a valid driver's license.Willing to travel when required.What We Can Offer YouAt AJ Grant Building, we have built a culture that looks after people, their families, and their futures.
