About the role The Service Delivery section is responsible for providing supporting services to staff and managing incidents and service requests. This includes:
User account administration, including account creations and modifications, and The provision and support of end user devices, including laptops and peripherals. Under limited direction the main duties of the role are to:
Provision and support laptop and desktop computing, using Microsoft Intune and SCCM. Develop and maintain National Archives' Standard Operating Environments (SOE). Package and deploy new software, upgrades, and updates. Package and deploy security patching, including firmware revisions Perform troubleshooting tasks and resolve complex ICT incidents and problems. Provide technical advice in relation to new hardware and software to support procurement processes. Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and knowledgebase articles for functions performed within the team and contribute to setting priorities for achieving the team's objectives. Maintain an awareness of the overall health and performance of ICT infrastructure through regular monitoring. Develop and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to achieve work area and agency goals. Apply the principles of APS Values, Code of Conduct, workplace diversity principles, work health and safety and participative management within a work and team environment. Promote and apply the National Archives' Vision, Mission and Commitments as expressed in Strategy 2030 and Our Values . Qualifications or experience in the following areas would be desirable:
Windows 10/11, SOE Task Sequence & Microsoft SCCM administration – highly desirable Active Directory Domain services, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy – highly desirable Scripting (PowerShell, VBS and Windows Batch) knowledge – highly desirable ITIL– highly desirable Please be aware that as part of the duties of the role you will be required to provide on-call support as part of a set roster and will be entitled to a Restriction Allowance.
To be eligible for the role you must be an Australian citizen. If you are selected, you will be required to successfully undergo a pre-employment check and be able to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance with the ability to obtain NV2/TSPV if required.
