We are investing in new and existing capabilities and have a number of exciting opportunities available. This role is responsible for designing and developing the Speciality range, in collaboration with the Head of Design and the broader design team.
The Designer - Speciality ensures that the collection is innovative, commercially viable, and aligned with the brand's vision and customer expectations.
By staying attuned to market trends, materials, and production techniques, this role drives the creation of distinctive, high-quality designs that meet margin targets and enhance the brand's overall offering.
Key Accountabilities Oversee the design and development of product ranges, ensuring alignment with the brand vision, option plans, price points, and target margins.
Work closely with the Head of Design to ensure the range reflects the brand's image and market position.Build strong partnerships with the Merchandise Planning and Buying teams, ensuring the range is balanced across core, seasonal, and seasonal products, and that it meets the company's financial targets.Liaise with suppliers and overseas agents to communicate design concepts and technical specifications, ensuring successful sample development.Prepare and present detailed design briefs, seasonal ranges, and creative concepts to the General Manager in partnership with the Head of Design.
Articulate key trends, product innovations, and design rationale.Ensure that the range is commercially viable, appealing to the target customer while balancing creativity with functionality and wearability.Key Capabilities Experience in a Design role, demonstrating the ability to develop commercially successful collections.Proven track record in building well-rounded ranges that consider core, seasonal, and seasonal product lines, ensuring alignment with brand vision and market demand.Experience in working with international suppliers, sourcing materials, and managing the product development process.Ability to balance creativity with commercial objectives, ensuring that design concepts align with brand strategy and business goals.Demonstrates a proactive approach to problem-solving, by resolving design and production challenges while ensuring smooth progress throughout the development process.Demonstrates self-motivation, resilience, and a commitment to continuous improvement, embodying personal leadership in every aspect of the role.Why work for CRG?
