The opportunity The Designer is responsible for Design and Production Development of accountable brands, licenses and product categories. Support Design Manager and Account Managers to ensure we meet desired outcomes for customers.
To achieve this, you will:
Design & develop seasonal or monthly rangesSketch garment shapesSelect suitable garment fabricationsTrend and seasonal forecastingCreate production/tech packs for each style designedPrepare costing art-sheets to include technical drawings, trim details and construction specificationsPrepare and document fabric quality and print swatchesMonitor product submissions including fit samples, quality swatches, lab dips, prints, trims, accessories and fabric qualities within required production time allocated for the approval process and adviseMaintain and update files to customer requirementsCoordinate sourcing of fabrics and trims related to product designedLiaise with factories and internal parties regarding problem solving and design approvals, ensuring your product meets your desired final outcomeLiaise with QA techs on fit and styling throughout production process, including Fit, PP and Shipment sampling stagesDesign range books for buyer meetings or range presentationsEnsure any samples required are delivered on timeAssist Design Manager and Account Manager with meeting preparationsThe skills and experience you offer us 5-6 years' industry experienceTertiary qualification in Fashion Design or Graphic Design, or related disciplineDemonstrated working experience in a similar role within the fashion industryAdvanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and proficient in InDesignProficient in Microsoft Excel and OutlookTextile/garment construction/pattern making knowledgeGarment manufacturing knowledge or experienceStrong written and verbal communicationsAbility to work to tight deadlinesStrong organisational skillsStrong eye for productAbility to work in a fast-paced, changing environmentDemonstrated experience in Sport LicensingJust some of the perks we offer you Generous discounts for you and your family across Brand Collective's stable of brands!
