Visit our website to immerse yourself in the new Review: www.review-australia.com The opportunity: The Designer is responsible for the design and development of seasonal ranges in line with brand direction and to achieve margin expectations and range sell through %  to achieve financial targets.
Key Responsibilities: Design and trend research Research and forecast the latest trends, themes, fabrications, shapes and colours Sourcing and selecting fabrics, prints, trims, fastenings and embellishments Product Design Working closely with the Head of Design  to design a range in keeping with the brand image and guidelines.
Assist in planning and developing the ranges following the option plan.
Understand and adapt existing bestselling designs.
Briefing designs direct to inhouse pattern makers and overseas manufacturers with clear design packs/ information Ensuring all designs meet the brands  /fittings standards by attending weekly fit meetings Design Coordination Manage day to day correspondence with suppliers by addressing any relevant queries Ensure clear communication with QA and pattern making team Request and follow up on proto and PP samples when needed.
Work closely with suppliers  to ensure the effective work flow of new styles (manage weekly priority schedule) Liaise closely with Planning and Production teams to ensure that styles suit the customer, quality expectations and agreed price points Raise all orders with overseas suppliers The skills and experience you offer us  6-10 + years' experience in knitwear and cut and sew specific Product Development, Design or Senior Designer role.
Strong technical and yarn skills in knitwear – as well as cut and sew.
Excellent technical knowledge around fit and construction Proficient in Adobe Illustrator Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design, Fashion Design or similar Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
Understanding of fabrication, construction, and finishing techniques.
Familiar with off-shore manufacturing processes Strong communication skills across all levels of organization.
Ability to priorities and efficiently manage multiple tasks within set deadlines.
