This is a fantastic opportunity to build on your already outstanding design career where you will be instrumental in driving key looks and contributing to the creative direction of the category.
Reporting to the Head Designer, your focus is ensuring the BONDS brand is considered first, with the product ranges built around the brand aesthetic. This is a highly colour and print driven role - if you are someone who is passionate about this space, and can create their own prints and repeats, that would be highly advantageous.
The design team is highly collaborative and designs together to get the best output, with a focus on workshopping in an open forum; this has been central to the brand's success. You will collaborate with designers across adjacent BONDS categories, as well as with the Senior Designers, Heads of Design, and Innovation team.
Key responsibilities include: Creating and executing design concepts with a focus on colour and graphic directionHands-on design including fabric and yarn selection, fittings, and technical drawingsCollaborating and developing strong relationships with cross-functional teamsProject design work and collaborationAbility to conduct product and range presentationsEssential for your success is: Proven track record in similar design roles – 2+ years' experience at Designer level or senior Design Assistant levelAn innovative and creative approach to design with handwriting aligned to the Bonds brandStrong communication skills and loads of initiative; you're proactive by natureAn ability to work quickly and deliver a high output - the pace across the design team is fast, and you must be comfortable operating in a busy and fast-moving environmentKnowledge and understanding of knitting, yarns, and fibres will be highly advantageousAn ability to drive design projects from concept through to executionExperience with Illustrator and Photoshop is requiredCultivating a diverse and inclusive workplace At Hanes Australasia, we value an inclusive and diverse environment in line with our purpose of creating the fabric of a better life for our People and Planet.
