Our Homewares category is growing, and we are looking for a passionate and experienced Soft Goods Designer to join us on this exciting journey!
This is such a great opportunity to shape and design desirable and on-trend product that really has impact!
What you'll be doing We have an amazing opportunity for a Soft Goods Home Designer where you will be instrumental in identifying, interpreting and implementing global homeware trends to grow sales whilst continuing to bring meaningful moments into our customers lives.
Create original, commercial, customer focused, on trend product ranges and designs including textile, print and repeat pattern that best reflects Kmart's 'handwriting' to grow incremental sales.
This is executed through strong influencing, collaboration, tasteful aesthetics and eye for home trend.
Some of the key responsibilities are (but not limited to):   •    Trend forecasting & identifying on trend and commercial product opportunities in homewares market.
•    Extensive experience in hands on product design & development in soft goods home such as bath towels, bed linen and soft home furnishings.
•    Leadership – constantly strive to improve product, process and culture •    Building relationship & influence key stakeholders     To be successful in this role you'll have: We are seeking a creative and driven Designer who has experience in Soft Goods Home.
You love delivering product, customers are always front of mind and building and managing relationships with a variety of key stakeholders is one of your strengths.
We'd also love you to have: •    Proven experience in a Soft Goods Design role in a retail environment  •    Strong ability to forecast and implement on-trend product ranges that have a commercial and broad appeal •    Good understanding of commercial range architecture •    Excellent ability to influence and collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders •    High proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop  •    Technical understanding of soft goods and textile product design and processes  •    Solid knowledge of print types and limitations within print execution.
•    Experience in product development in conjunction with factories and supply base •    Excellent time management and organisational skills •    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills •    Confident & articulate presentation skills •    Strong attention to detail If this sounds like you – apply now!
