Designer (80% Mechanical Design, 20% Structural, Multi-Skilled)

Strong focus on continuous improvement and drafting development Mechanical Design, rotational equipment, P&ID's, mechanical components 2 to 5 years of design, drafting, 3d CAD design, 38 hours a week, full time role The Client and you:    Established 50 + years ago, a growing manufacturing company requires a Multi-Skilled Design Draftsperson or Design Engineer to join their Team.   This position would suit someone with a passion for 3D Design and at least 2 years of 3D mechanical design and drafting experience, those with structural experience also will be favored. Applicants applying will have a passion for R&D, new product development, and continuous improvement. You will be used to working autonomously and as part of a team.      Key responsibilities: Provide the sales team with technical support on projects so that they can go back to their clients with the correct project information. Strong focus on continuous improvement and mechanical component design, rotational equipment, pipes, P&ID's.  Generate structural drafts for local infrastructure projects, medium to large machinery, complex structures, and shop drawings. Learn about material estimation and control of bills of materials. Report and present project analysis within design reviews. Attend site trips as and when required. To be a successful fit for this full-time/permanent role, you will have: A Degree or TAFE. 2 years experience in Mechanical & Structural Design.    Team player and passionate about 3D design.
