Are you an experienced Engineering Professional with a passion for Design Safety?
Jacobs is looking for a dynamic individual to join our ANZ team.
This is your chance to work on exciting projects across various sectors, including Infrastructure, Rail & Light Rail, Water & Wastewater, Buildings & Laboratories, Roads, Oil & Gas, Mining, Chemicals, and Defence.
About the Role: As a Design Safety Professional, you will: Serve as a Design Safety advisor/facilitator on major projects and programs.
Apply your specialised skills in collaboration with project managers, design teams, and specialists.
Facilitate client-facing Design Safety risk workshops, including HAZID and HAZOP.
Conduct risk assessments and safety assurance tasks, preparing Safety Assurance Reports (SAR) and Safety Cases (SC).
Advocate for Design Safety internally and externally, providing expert advice and building strong relationships.
Coach and mentor project personnel and stakeholders on Design Safety best practices.
Deliver internal Design Safety training and stay updated on industry trends, legislation, and best practices.
Contribute to proposal and bid development with Design Safety insights.
Support the development and communication of Jacobs' ANZ Design Safety processes and procedures.
Here's what you'll need Qualifications and Competencies: Bachelor of Engineering (preferably Chemical/Process).
Strong competencies in Engineering Design and Design Safety.
HAZOP Facilitator qualifications (desirable).
Extensive experience in Engineering and Design Safety.
Proficiency in Process and Design Safety risk and client-facing risk workshop facilitation, including HAZID.
Experience with Design Safety Risk and Audit, SiD, HAZID, HAZOP, and CHAIR Studies.
Familiarity with ANZ Work Health and Safety Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice, and industry design standards.
Attributes: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams and clients.
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Strong time management and multitasking skills, capable of handling multiple clients simultaneously.
Team player with the ability to coach and mentor others.
