In this role, you'll:
Work with our Engineering and Maintenance Branch at Sydney Trains in the Civil Engineering team to provide quality construction drawings for Sydney Trains assets. Your focus will be on delivering drawings for construction and repairs of overhead wiring, drainage, station platforms, buildings, and retaining walls across the rail network using CAD design software, MicroStation. You will work with a team of Civil Engineering professionals on project specifications and requirements to establish a shared understanding of design scope, budget, time constraints, success indicators, quality, environmental and standards. This is a fixed term full-time role up to 36 months based at Clyde, with flexibility through our hybrid working model. This will include working from home combined with days in the office at Clyde and Sydney Central Station and occasional site visits.
About you
You have extensive experience in the production of accurate civil technical drawings to engineering design and specifications. You have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft office packages, Microcomputers and CAD design drafting packages, including 3D modelling, preferably in a rail environment. You also have knowledge in the relevant codes of practice/standards and other relevant codes relating to drafting, including knowledge of geometric design principles and techniques with awareness of other rail design disciplines and their operational standards. Your sound conceptual, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to apply them in the development of relevant design solutions will help you to excel in this role.
