Randstad are proud to partner with this international property developer, renowned for delivering large scale luxury commercial and residential developments, in their search for an experienced Design Manager, as they self deliver their current landmark project here in Brisbane.
With strong senior leadership in place and secure financial backing, the Design Manager will be an integral part of the wider team, liaising with key stakeholders whilst working alongside the delivery team to help bring this $1bn high end multi tower residential development and associated retail tenancies to life.
In addition to demonstrating a passion for design, the successful candidate will: Hold tertiary qualifications in Design or Construction coupled with extensive experience in a Design Management role.
Lead the design team from design development through to construction.
Display a strong commercial awareness and ability to identify cost efficient construction strategies and methodologies through design.
Plan and program the design process effectively to ensure all stakeholders act in a timely manner.
Coordinate detailed design and documentation within specified time-frames.
Evaluate any technical-based variations proposed from the construction team and provide recommendations to the development team.
Possess an ability to identify and manage risk and ensure compliance obligations are met throughout the process and within design.
It is expected that the successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
They will display initiative, attention to detail, and have the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised whilst contributing to the wider organisation's objectives.
