In this role, you will: Nurture and grow a team of 5 designers by empowering them with the right frameworks, plays and toolkits.

Partner with leadership, stakeholders, cross-functional teams to create improvements to our data experiences Partner with product teams who will leverage the patterns and concepts in their products to ship data visualisation features Lead multiple data design projects from creation to execution and be responsible tying back to customer value delivery and outcomes Communicate design concepts and plans persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organisation Identify success metrics for ensuring design solutions continue to deliver customer value Identify opportunities to enhance our products and accelerate data visualisation experiences at Atlassian Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineering & Program Management to develop a shared vision and deliver high quality experiences to our customers Your background: 8+ years of hands-on professional experience as a UX or product designer working on software tools, complex enterprise applications or in e-commerce At least 3 years leading and managing a team with a genuine passion for developing and growing others Experience in planning and driving direction autonomously - both as a hands-on designer, and as a manager Maintain an area of core strength in one or more Design disciplines where you can lead through your expertise Track-record in working effectively with scaled systems and different methods for designing Demonstrated capability to understand the technical underpinnings of software products Positive collaboration history with other departments, like Engineering, Product Management and Research Examples of a high degree of influence with all kinds of internal partners, including senior leadership Our perks & benefits Atlassian offers a variety of perks and benefits to support you, your family and to help you engage with your local community.
