Due to this significant growth, we are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our high-performing team. This is a unique opportunity to lead the architectural design and project management efforts of our residential developments.
About You You're a driven and experienced Design Manager with an architectural background. You have proven ability to lead and manage the design process across multiple stages of residential developments, ensuring that every project is delivered to the highest standards. You demonstrate discretion and diplomacy, with a proven ability to maintain confidentiality. Additionally, you can work effectively in a team environment, managing both up and down within the organisational structure.
Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of multiple stages of our Class 2 residential developments. Prepare Construction Certificate (CC) documentation. Apply your knowledge of construction detailing to ensure quality checks are completed at each stage. Produce and manage design programs. Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of design work, identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Support project delivery teams with best practice solutions, ensuring compliance with NCC/BCA standards and agreed design requirements. Manage, organise, and coordinate complex Revit files for large-scale projects. Manage authority approvals. Facilitate and manage design and delivery outcomes, as well as engagement with consultants and project managers. Monitor construction programs and budgets. Liaise and coordinate with internal departments (sales, marketing, development, construction and procurement) to department design requirements. Essential Qualifications and Experience 8-10 years of experience delivering multi-residential/Class 2 buildings in NSW. Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Thorough understanding of NCC and Australian Standards, technical drawings, and construction practices. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced understanding of the apartment design guide and the design and building practitioners Act. Ability to coordinate full design, including architecture, structure, and services. Advanced understanding of planning controls. Revit proficiency – minimum of 2 years in a studio environment.
