Design Manager

Design Manager required for a nationally recognized top tier commercial builder, based from their office in Sydney. They operate across Commercial, Education, Health, Government and Defence with projects up to $600M.As the Design Manager you will be responsible for managing the delivery of construction projects from inception to completion. You will be heavily involved from the front end, liaising with the client, the design team and all relevant stakeholders.As the Design Manager you will be responsible for:Selection and engagement of consultants to produce construction documentationManage consultants and coordinate the documentation process with consultants. Run design meetings. Follow up issues raised by consultants.Ensure services applications are lodged by consultantsHand over documentation to the construction team and assist them during construction on design queriesManage client during the design and construction process.Run multiple jobs at the same timeTo be considered for the position of Design Manager you will require:Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or similarMinimum 5+ years' experience in a Design Management role with a Head Contract builder is essentialExperience within the ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) and Tender Phase as well as the Construction & Delivery PhaseBe very strong with Value Engineering & Buildability Project Management Experience demonstrating Time, Cost and Scope understandingDemonstrated experience in functional briefs, consultant scopes and engagementsExperience across various building types over $90M in valueFor any questions relating to this role or other opportunities with D&B and our clients please contact Denise Kostoulias on (02) 9376 8200  or click apply.
