They deliver projects across the commercial, healthcare, aged care and education sector ranging from $10M - $50M employing 200 staff.
The Role Due to a strong pipeline we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design Manage to join their team.
As a Design Manager you will play a vital role in overseeing and coordinating the design process managing multiple projects ranging from $10M - $50M from preconstruction to delivery.
Your Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage the design process for education projects, ensuring adherence to project requirements, timelines, and budgets.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop and finalize design plans, specifications, and construction documents.
Review architectural drawings, blueprints, and other technical documents to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with building codes and regulations.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, identify design-related issues, and provide necessary guidance and solutions.
Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to address design changes, modifications, and value engineering opportunities.
Assist in the selection and procurement of materials, finishes, and fixtures that align with project specifications, quality standards, and budgetary constraints.
Participate in design coordination meetings and provide updates on design-related matters to project stakeholders.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of design decisions, approvals, and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in architecture and construction.
Your Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
2-3 years of post-graduate experience working on construction projects, preferably in the commercial or industrial sector.
Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, building codes, and construction processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse project teams.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in design coordination.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
Familiarity with sustainable design practices and LEED certification is a plus.
